Cocteau Twins have announced a reissue for their 1986 album with Harold Budd, ‘The Moon and The Melodies’ – find out more below.The album has been remastered, and will be reissued on vinyl for the first time since its release in 1986.
Besides being reissued on vinyl, ‘The Moon and The Melodies’ will also be available on CD format, as well as digital formats.
It is due for release on August 23 and is now available for pre-order via 4AD and pre-saving on digital platforms.The album’s remaster is overseen by the band’s Robin Guthrie using the original tapes from the project’s recording process.A post shared by 4AD (@4ad) Harold Budd died in late 2020 at the age of 84, as was confirmed by Robin Guthrie.The band have also just launched their official store, which marks the first time since 1997 that official Cocteau Twins merchandise has gone on sale.The group’s Simon Raymonde in May announced a new memoir, In One Ear – Cocteau Twins, Ivor and Me.
