Netflix announced Friday that its popular series Cobra Kai is coming to an end after its up coming season.The streamer shared the news with a video announcing that the series — a sequel to the Ralph Macchio–starring Karate Kid films — had been renewed for a sixth season.Describing the next batch of episodes as its 'the biggest' and 'baddest' season to date, the streamer said in a statement: 'Cobra Kai never dies!

After five bada** seasons, Cobra Kai Season 6 will be the final showdown. The epic conclusion to the decades-long karate saga is coming soon to Netflix.'The series turned the tables on the first two films in the series, making the original antagonist Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) the main character who reopens the Cobra Kai dojo, while the original protagonist Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) later joins forces with him.
