A Coatbridge school sent top technical talents to a leading competition and on a trip to sample some sensational sounds.Buchanan High's "robotics group" kindly worked as volunteers at the Vex Robotics finals in New College Lanarkshire's Coatbridge campus.The youngsters impressed everyone on hand with their dedication, hard work and aptitude for learning.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

A Buchanan High School spokesperson told Lanarkshire Live: "During the robotics final, the groups showed excellent Citizenship skills and were a real asset on the day."We are so very proud of the hard work the pupils put in and they helped contribute to the success of the final. "During the trip to see Celtic Connections, our pupils enjoyed a performance from a piper from The Red Hot Chilli Pipers , accompanied by a Gaelic singer. "The group then lapped up an amazing performance by The Blazing Fiddles .
