hollywoodlife.comAnother star has fallen over Hollywood. Cloris Leachman, the actress who a record-setting number of Primetime Emmy Awards and an Academy Award for her part in The Last Picture Show, has died, according to TMZ.
The woman many know as the character Phyllis Lindstrom on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (and its subsequent spin-off, Phyllis) passed away of natural causes at her home in Encinitas, CA on the night of Jan.
26 with her daughter, Dinah, by her side, her son told the outlet. “She had the best life beginning to end that you could wish for someone,” he said while adding that she was at peace and “she left everyone with a lot of love.” Born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa on April 30, 1926, Cloris developed a love for performing in high school.
