Clive Myrie's 'secret' to 25-year marriage including time apart and 'major decision'

Television presenter Clive Myrie has revealed his secrets to a happy marriage, including making sure you spend time apart and his "major decision" with wife Catherine.The BBC Proms host met Catherine at the launch event for a book about Swiss cheese in 1992.

The 59-year-old, whose parents never wanted him to get into journalism, says Catherine has given him the "courage and space to pursue my dreams".This includes his desire to "travel the world", something he says led the pair to make the decision not to have children, despite both coming from large families themselves.Speaking on the Desperately Seeking Wisdom podcast, Clive explained: "We've come from bigger families.

I'm from a family of seven. And Catherine's from a family of five kids."We weren't desperate for that kind of familial glue.
