A foreign national, studying at a Scots university, has died after falling from the world famous Cliffs of Moher in Ireland.
The horror incident took place on at 1.20pm Saturday, May 4, after the woman travelled to the beauty spot with three friends.
It is believed that she lost her footing before she tragically fell to her death. It is understood that she was a Belgian national who was studying medicine in Edinburgh.
CorkBeo reports that a multi-agency response was drafted to the scene, including police, RNLI and the Irish Coastguard. Members of the Doolin unit of the Coast Guard and Gardaí responded to the location while the Shannon-based search and rescue helicopter was also tasked.
