Clean Bandit star Grace Chatto has blasted ministers for their “devastating” lack of care for the arts during the pandemic. Glastonbury bosses called on the Government to offer financial support while they planned for the event amid uncertainty and without cancellation insurance – shortly before June’s festival was called off.
Grace, 35, says: “More help should be given, especially if they’re asking for it. The whole live music industry is devastated by this pandemic.
Many musicians, crew and festival organisers are just having to shut up and find new lines of work, which is really so sad. It does seem like there’s not much care for the arts at all from the Tories, which isn’t a new thing.
