Claudia Winkleman reveals 'very stressful' way Traitors are chosen ahead of new series

Claudia Winkleman has spilled the beans on how the cunning 'traitors' are selected for the smash-hit BBC series, The Traitors, as she reveals some juicy behind-the-scenes gossip.The beloved presenter is set to return on New Year's Day with a fresh batch of hopefuls aiming to clinch victory in The Traitors.They'll be whisked away to a majestic castle in the Scottish Highlands, where they'll face a slew of challenges.

Hidden among them will be three 'traitors', scheming to sabotage the group's efforts. During a media Q&A session before the new series kicks off, Claudia offered a glimpse into the selection process for the show's traitors from the pool of applicants.

Although Claudia plays a part in this process, she humbly stated: "I'm not a goddess and I don't choose them by myself." She went on to describe the intense selection procedure, explaining: "We talk to all of them in that room and then we go into a room there's 5 of us, 6 of us.

It is very stressful. And then you place it all. Everybody, I mean, I'm just the smallest voice in the room, but you, you decide, having had those chats, who it is going to be," reports the Mirror.
