City centre cops are trying to reunite cyclists with their stolen bikes — after a raid on a house recovered 14 bicycles and one e-scooter.
Officers have arrested one man after tracking down a stolen bike online, which led them to an address in the Hulme/Moss Side area of Manchester, it’s understood.
There, they found 14 bikes and one e-scooter, and are trying to track down their owners. They believe all the vehicles were stolen in the city centre, with some of the bikes worth almost £1,000, the Manchester Evening News understand. READ MORE: Manchester woman due in court accused of pouring faeces over a statue of Captain Tom Moore “We've arrested a male for theft & recovered 14 bikes & an E-Scooter,” a post on Twitter from GMP’s city centre division said. “We're looking to reunite the rightful owners with their property.” Cops have advised anyone who believes their bike is pictured that they will need to show a proof of purchase for it, or have already reported it stolen.
They will also need to know roughly when it was taken from them so cops can verify they are the original owner.
