Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' Cast: 8 A-List Actors Attached, Including Latest Addition Jon Bernthal

Christopher Nolan‘s next movie, The Odyssey, is going to have one of his most star-studded casts yet.

It was recently announced that the Oscar-winning filmmaker will be making an adaptation of Homer‘s epic poem. “The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026,” Universal Pictures announced at the end of last year.

The Odyssey chronicles “the ten-year journey of Odysseus, king of Ithaca, back to his home after the fall of Troy,” according to GoodReads. Homer wrote it around the 8th or 7th century BC. Jon Bernthal just joined the cast of the film, according to Deadline.
