Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.
Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.
Christopher Jullien will fight back from injury to be a big part of Celtic’s rebuild under a new gaffer.The French centre-back, signed by former boss Neil Lennon from Toulouse in 2019, will be out of action for at least five more months.Jullien suffered a bad knee injury while preventing a goal during a match against Dundee United in December.Before then he had been a key figure for Celtic at the back alongside Kris Ajer.By the time Jullien returns the club will have a new man at the helm – with Kennedy’s own future still uncertain.The stand-in boss lamented the loss of the stopper this season as the club relinquished their title to Rangers and failed to secure 10 In A Row.But irrespective of who takes over from Lennon – with Eddie Howe now.
