Christmas tree warning over small 'clumps' that need removed immediately

People are being warned to thoroughly check their Christmas trees for 'walnut-sized' lumps that contain thousand of insect eggs.

If you've decided to go with a real tree this year instead of a fake one, be sure to take a look at all the branches before bringing it into the house.

Some of them contain small masses that are full of praying mantis eggs, which could hatch and go everywhere in your home. A man previously went viral on social media for posting the warning, but it has since circulated again as the Christmas season gets closer and closer.

After finding two of the clumps attached to his tree, the man took to Facebook to tell others to be vigilant and act fast if they come across them.Daniel Reed said: "If you happen to see a walnut sized or shaped egg mass on your Christmas tree, don’t fret, clip the branch and put it in your garden.
