Chrissy Teigen reveals her miscarriage was actually ‘an abortion to save life’

Chrissy Teigen has revealed that it has taken more than a year to understand that her miscarriage was in fact a life-saving abortion.

Chrissy, 36, and her husband, John Legend, 43, shared the devastating news that they have lost their son Jack at 20 weeks in 2020 following complications.

Speaking at A Day of Unreasonable Conversation summit on Thursday she said the realisation she’d had an abortion and not a miscarriage was a “shock”.

An emotional picture shared on her Instagram two years ago said: "despite blood transfusions, it just wasn’t enough" to save Jack's life. "It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive, and that I wouldn’t either without any medical intervention,” she said at the summit.
