Marc Malkin Senior Editor, Culture and Events Chrissy Teigen knows her way around a kitchen. Not only is she the author of two cookbooks, but she recently co-hosted “Chrissy & Dave Dine Out,” a Freeform series that takes a look at Los Angeles’ restaurant scene, with celebrity chef Dave Chang and “Fire Island” star Joel Kim Booster.
Teigen’s latest foodie gig is being named an advisor and investor in ChainFest, actor and writer B.J. Novak and Michelin chef Tim Hollingsworth’s food festival that celebrates fast food and fast casual chain restaurants.
ChainFest, which began 2021 with a pop-up event in Los Angeles, features Hollingsworth reimagining fast food favorites with gourmet twists. “Tim did a wagyu Big Mac that was that was still served in the box that we love,” Teigen says. “He does in such a special and unique way, but it still reminds you of the food you had growing up.” ChainFest makes its New York City debut Sept.
21 followed by a return to Los Angeles on Oct. 5. Here, Teigen talks fast food, favorite meals and her dreams of opening a bed and breakfast.
