Former Aberdeen striker Chris Maguire has been suspended by Lincoln City after being hit with FA charges relating to a breach of betting rules.
Maguire, who has two Scotland caps, is alleged to have placed 52 bets on matches between March 2017 and February 2022 during which time he was playing for the Imps, Sunderland, Bury and Oxford United.
The 33-year-old has until next Tuesday to respond to the misconduct charge and was last night suspended by his club ”until further notice”.
A statement from the Football Association said: "Chris Maguire has been charged with misconduct in relation to an alleged breach of the FA's betting rules.
