Chris Hemsworth has explained the reason why his wife of ten years didn't take his surname after they got married. The Australian hunk, 36, lifted the lid on the "complicated" reason during an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O show on Monday.

Marvel Avengers actor Chris admitted that Elsa decided against changing her last name due to passport troubles. Speaking on the show, he said: "I think that she wanted to [change it].

I think she still may. "I think it was when we were coming back from America. We were living in Europe and deciding where [to go].

It was a complication of passports and so on." In response to the star, Kyle hilariously joked: "That's what they all say, but you know she's just really seeing whether it works out or not."
