Chris Hemsworth in Talks for Disney’s ‘Prince Charming’ Film
variety.comKatcy Stephan Chris Hemsworth is headed to the steps of the palace. The “Thor” actor is in talks to play the iconic fairy tale love interest in Disney’s upcoming “Prince Charming” film.
Plot details for the picture are under wraps, and it’s not clear yet if the film will be live-action or animated. “Wonka” filmmaker Paul King will direct.
King, Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker are co-writing the screenplay. Aussie actor Hemsworth most recently voiced Optimus Prime in the animated sci-fi film “Transformers One” and earlier this year appeared as deranged warlord Dementus in George Miller’s “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” opposite Anya Taylor-Joy.
He’s next set to star in Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming thriller “Crime 101,” also featuring Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan” and his “Avengers” pal Mark Ruffalo.
