Chris Evans will be missing from his Virgin Radio Breakfast Show for a second week after it was revealed he will need surgery after being admitted to hospital.
The 54-year-old DJ was hospitalised with what he thought was crippling stomach cramps, but it has turned out to be a huge kidney stone.
The radio presenter mistook symptoms for trapped wind and ended up spending two nights in hospital after heading into A&E to see if they could help him.
Chris had an ultrasound and CT scans which revealed that he had a large kidney stone. He was monitored for 48 hours in hospital before being discharged but it seems that Chris will now have to return as the kidney stone is showing no signs of moving naturally.
