Nomadland was a big winner at the 2021 Critics Choice Awards on Sunday (March 7). Chloe Zhao picked up the award for Best Director on the film, and the flick also won Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Picture, and Best Cinematography.
During the acceptance speeches, Chloe and producer Mollye Asher dedicated the awards to Michael Wolf Snyder, who was a sound mixer on the movie. Michael sadly died by suicide at the young age of 35 last week, according to a report from Deadline. “Thank you Wolf.
We honor you,” Chloe shared in her speech after recalling a few special moments on the set with him. “We’ll see you down the road my friend.” You can see the full winners list from the 2021 Critics Choice Awards on JustJared.com now!
