Mother Hubbard’s Chip Shop has launched its new eatery in Salford Shopping Centre. The chip shop had hundreds of punters queuing up to get their hands on 45p fish and chips when it opened a branch in Bolton on Saturday (September 18).

Mother Hubbard's was offering up the cheap as chips deal - the price of fish and chips when the firm's first shop opened in 1972 - at the launch of their latest branch on St Helens Road in Daubhill.

Customers started queuing at 9am - two hours before the shop opened - to be among the first in line. READ MORE: Phillip
