Children 'screamed in horror' as gunman fired shots at play park

The horrifying incident occurred at around 6.15pm on July 1 and involved a blue Nissan Qashqai pulling up into the quiet cul-de-sac close to where children were playing and residents were enjoying some outdoor fitness workshops.

Residents in the area reported how a gunman shamelessly stepped out of the passenger side of the car and opened fire towards a small group of youths.They were stood next to the play park which was packed with young children and parents at the time.

The youths made a run for it while the children screamed in terror as at least two shots were fired, reports Manchester Evening News.The gunman.
