A children's hospital nurse has been arrested on suspicion of 'poisoning' a child who died. The nurse - who works at the Birmingham Children's Hospital - has been arrested on suspicion of 'administering poison with intent to endanger life', Birmingham Live reports.
The 27-year-old has been suspended from her role at the hospital, which is run by Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, while an investigation is carried out.
She has been released by West Midlands Police while the probe continues. The child tragically died in hospital on Thursday.
