A child has tragically died after falling from an upper-floor flat with the surrounding area was closed to the public.Emergency services raced to Brixton, London, at 4.23pm on Friday May 24 after reports of a child having fallen from the flat but sadly the youngster was pronounced dead at the scene.
A probe has been launched to establish the full circumstances behind the fall but it is currently not being treated as suspicious, reports the Mirror.A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 1623hrs on Friday, 24 May, to a child have fallen from the upper floor of a flat on Hotspur Street, SE11."Officers attended along with LAS.
Despite their efforts, the child was pronounced dead. The child’s family have been informed. At this very early stage, there is nothing to indicate that the incident is suspicious, however, enquires are ongoing to establish the circumstances.
