Child taken to hospital as police seal off house

A child has been taken to hospital after police were called to a house in Denton. Officers were called to Prince Edward Avenue in Denton on Sunday morning to reports of concern for the welfare of a child at a property.

Police and paramedics from North West Ambulance Service attended the scene at around 9.40am. An air ambulance was also seen landing nearby, but is believed to have been stood down.

A child has been taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries are not yet known. Pictures show a small police cordon which was erected between a number of residential properties on Sunday morning.
