Chick Vennera was an actor known for roles in TV shows and movies including “The Golden Girls” and “Thank God it’s Friday” and for a voice role in “Animaniacs.”After serving in the U.S.
Army Signal Corps, Vennera started his career on stage, including an appearance on Broadway in “Grease.” His first notable onscreen role was in the Donna Summer (1948–2012) movie “Thank God it’s Friday” (1978), in which he disco danced atop a line of parked cars.
Vennera’s other movies included “Yanks” (1979) and his highest-profile role in the 1988 Robert Redford movie “The Milagro Beanfield War.” On TV, Vennera made guest appearances on “The Golden Girls” as news reporter Enrique Mas and as a boxer.
