Former Girls Aloud star Cheryl, 38, added she was "at a loss for words" at the news that Sarah had died age 39 following her battle with breast cancer.
Cheryl shared a stunning black and white photo of a smiling Sarah on her Instagram page to open up to her followers and pay tribute to her friend.
Fight For This Love singer Cheryl wrote in the caption: "Although we knew this day would arrive I am somehow still feeling at a loss for words that our stunning, unique, crazy, quirky, kind and soft hearted girl has departed." Singer Cheryl went on to share her condolences to the fans of Girls Aloud.
