Alex McLeish took a welcome walk down memory lane over Billy Gilmour – predicting that Scotland will not be able to ignore the Chelsea starlet for long.
Gilmour has been a revelation since Frank Lampard threw him in at the deep end against Liverpool in the FA Cup, and he followed it up with an equally impressive showing against Everton last week.
The 18-year-old has been training on and off with the Blues first-team for the past three years and former Scotland boss McLeish says that while Steve Clarke is under no huge pressure to pick him now – that calls for his inclusion will inevitably grow.
