Masterchef winner Simon Wood has exposed a series of 'fake reviews' posted in a social media 'hate campaign' against his acclaimed Manchester restaurant WOOD.

The top chef, who opened his fine dining restaurant on Manchester's First Street back in 2017, took to social media site X on Sunday (December 17) with a video of a number of one-star Google reviews that appeared to have been written about his establishment.

Along with a clip captioned "Fake Google Reviews", he wrote: "Don’t believe all the reviews you read folks. Big love". The post quickly amassed more than 30,000 views and a flurry of positive responses from people who enjoyed dining at WOOD.
