First established in 2020 during the height of the COVID pandemic, DC FanDome was a virtual event that showcased upcoming projects for DC films, with the two conferences held so far showing off trailers for anticipated projects like “The Batman,” “The Snyder Cut” and “Peacemaker” and dropping news about developing films and series. According to a statement from Warner Bros. Discovery, the company decided not to produce a FanDome this year in response to the return of in-person events, instead planning to announce news out of various comic conventions around the world.

Johnny Depp is set to join Jeff Beck for the majority of the guitarist’s upcoming North American tour – tickets are available here.The pair – who released a joint album, ’18’, back in July – will perform together over the course of Beck’s North American tour, which kicks off this October.Though dates for the run were revealed in early August (and can be found below), news of Depp’s addition wasn’t made until today (September 1).The Jeff Beck: Live In Concert tour begins in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday October 1, with Depp then joining the run at the next show on October 4 in Washington D.C.

“Ratings, what’s good?”The preliminary Nielsen figures for the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, its pre-show and two on-air replays are in — and both TV and cross-platform consumption ratings are up. According to the numbers, 3.9 million viewers tuned in to watch Sunday’s festivities across 12 Paramount Global cable channels and the broadcast network The CW — which is a 3% increase from 2021’s programming, which attracted 3.7 million viewers.Paramount says viewers watched 1.59 billion minutes of VMAs content across TV, streaming and social platforms.

The VMAs simulcast got a 2.81 rating in the advertiser-coveted demographic, compared to 2.78 the prior year. Like last year, these channels included MTV, VH1, the CW, Comedy Central, Nick At Night, Pop, TV Land, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network, BET, BET Her and CMT. Sunday’s VMAs drew 3.9 million total viewers across those 13 networks. That’s up 3% from 2021’s comparable number of 3.7 million sets of eyeballs. (Both of those figures exclude out-of-home viewing, which won’t be reported by Nielsen until Tuesday.)
