Fans on Reddit have speculated that the first track is called ‘Josh Tillman And The Accidental Dose’, following previous live performances.The first track, which was posted on Monday (June 17), features a jazz-inflicted piano and string instrumental, beneath the repeated lyrics “You’re in no shape“.
Father John Misty posted it on his Instagram alongside an image of a CD covered in doodles and an illustration of Mickey Mouse.A second snippet, which features elements of psychedelic pop, was shared yesterday (June 18), alongside the caption “just teasin’.” In the comment section, Misty responded to a fan asking if a new song was coming, saying: “not for a couple months just enjoy your clips.”A post shared by Father John Misty (@fatherjohnmisty)While neither track has been officially released yet, fan clips of Father John Misty performing one of the tracks – rumoured to be called ‘Josh Tillman And The Accidental Dose’ live in April 2023 – have begun circulating on Reddit.
