Che Adams could pull out of Scotland squad again as Steve Clarke reveals striker is major Nations League doubt

Clarke’s side sit bottom of the group with one point from four games - three points behind Poland - and need to win at least one of their remaining matches.
Finishing third would see the Scots go into a play off against a side from League B to save their top table status.But they could be forced to go without Adams - who Clarke was forced to deny had turned his back on Scotland after he pulled out last month - next week with Lyndon Dykes, Lawrence Shankland and Tommy Conway also listed in the squad named on Monday.Clarke said: “Che picked it up yesterday, so it's obviously a short period of time between then and now.
It'll be scanned and assessed by his club, and we'll find out later in the week whether or not he'll join up. I’ve got four forwards in the squad, so we're well covered in that department.”More positive news surrounded the return to the squad of senior figures including John McGinn, Scott McKenna and Jack Hendry after the trio missed last month’s defeat in Croatia and draw with Portugal through injury.Elsewhere in a familiar looking squad, Ipswich Town keeper Cieran Slicker was handed a first call-up in place of Dundee’s Jon McCracken.
