A quaint village has been recognised for boasting one of the UK's top pubs. Austrey, located at the northernmost tip of Warwickshire, is just a hop, skip, and a jump from one of the Midlands' largest family attractions.
The charming village is enveloped by open countryside, making it an ideal destination for springtime strolls through country lanes, fields, and a tree plantation teeming with butterflies.
Two churches grace the village – a Baptist Church constructed in 1808 and St Nicholas', which harks back to the 13th century.
The population of Austrey tripled in the latter half of the 20th century as numerous local farms were sold off for housing developments.
