As a woman who has grown up in the media spotlight you may be forgiven for thinking that, over the years, Charlotte Church has felt the pressure to conform to the world of celebrity.
Whether that’s walking red carpets, being surrounded by other famous faces or bowing to the pressure to have the perfect face and body, the world of the rich and famous can bring with it huge expectations.
But the 38-year-old singer songwriter from Cardiff, who exploded on the world stage at the age of just 12, is adamant that plastic surgery has never never been for her. “I’m a nature girl - I’m as nature intended - so I’d never have cosmetic surgery,” admitted the mother of three who has just launched a new podcast on BBC Sounds, Kicking Back with the Cardiffians. “There are so many beautiful young women augmenting their faces and bodies - not just celebrities - because they've got this image of what to look like.
I just find it so sad because these people are so beautiful anyway. “Each to their own, I guess - if it makes you feel beautiful then crack on - but personally I love how my body works.
