Uma Thurman shares a big laugh with Charlize Theron during some down time on the set of The Old Guard 2 in Italy on Tuesday (June 28).

The two actresses were seen filming new scenes for the upcoming Netflix film, which features a very star-studded cast. Just before Uma and Charlize were seen on the deck, Uma was spotted filming a few sequences in the sea and was up to her shoulders in the water.

Later on, Uma and Charlize were seen with the crew, filming additional scenes on dry land for the upcoming action film.

Directed by Victoria Mahoney, the first installment in the franchise focused on a covert group of tight-knit mercenaries with a mysterious inability to die have fought to protect the mortal world for centuries.
