At just 22 months old, little Charlie Roberts had everything to live for. However one January morning his life cruelly cut short by a murderer who will now spend at least 25 years in prison.

On the morning of January 12, 2024, Christopher Stockton was supposed to be caring for Charlie when he violently attacked him - before calling 999 and lying to the paramedics that Charlie had choked on a biscuit, which he later repeated to police too.

Stockton brutally shook Charlie, which led to the fatal head injury that killed him. Charlie tragically died the next day in hospital.

Despite having concerns about Stockton, Paula Roberts, Charlie's mum, 41, had left her partner in charge of her child when he caused the fatal head injury that led to his tragic death.
