Chappell Roan is doubling down on the comments she made about “freedom for all” while performing at Governor’s Ball.
The 26-year-old “Hot To Go” singer told the crowd that she turned down an opportunity to perform at the White House’s Pride event. “In response to the White House, who asked me to perform for Pride,” she said. “We want liberty, justice and freedom for all.
When you do that, that’s when I’ll come.” Chappell faced some backlash on social media as she wasn’t specific in her comments.
While many believed her comments were in reference to Gaza, some thought she was attacked the Biden administration’s stance on LGBTQ rights.
