Chappell Roan is speaking out after a music exec branded her an “instant industry insider” and took issue with her acceptance speech at the 2025 Grammys.
Last weekend, the 26-year-old hitmaker advocated for record labels to support their up-and-coming artists by paying livable wages and health insurance while accepting the award for Best New Artist during music’s biggest night.
In the aftermath, Jeff Rabhan, a music exec, penned an essay for The Hollywood Reporter that described the speech as “misguided rhetoric” and implied that Chappell could use her power to solve the problem herself.
