Channing Tatum opened up about the future of his 21 Jump Street franchise. The 44-year-old actor teamed up with Jonah Hill for the first movie, a reboot of a television series, in 2012.

Two years later, they reunited for 22 Jump Street. It turns out that there were plans for a third movie. Channing provided an update and weighed in on where it stood during a recent interview. In fact, there’s even a script. “There is a project that was written, and it’s still the best script that I’ve ever read for a third movie,” he explained. “It’s just a lot of bureaucracy, kind of above-the-line stuff.

It’s really hard to get it made, and we’ve been trying to get it done.” He continued, saying that he would “love” to get the movie made and added that Jonah agreed. “We would love to just get to go play again,” he explained.
