Gogglebox fans were left upset on Friday night as the first episode of the new series ended with a tribute to a star who recently died.

The Channel 4 series was back on screens to the delight of fans, who were excited to see their favourites back on their sofas chatting about telly, Liverpool Echo reports.

The Gogglebox family sat down to watch the likes of Gladiators and This Morning as the much-loved show returned for a new series.
