Channel 4 will axe part of its hit reality TV show SAS: Who Dares Wins after a run of eight series. The hit show sees a group of ex-army officials put a group of recruits through its Special Air Services training process, testing both emotional and physical strength in brutal challenges.

But after a run of eight series, having first aired in 2015, Channel 4 have confirmed they will be axing the civilian version of the military training show.

A TV insider told The Sun: "Losing such a big-name show is a disturbing sign for C4 as it faces an uncertain future in a market which will be difficult for even the biggest broadcasters and streaming services. "Although the show’s celebrity spin-off will continue, losing the civilian version will be worrying given that it’s one of the channel’s best-known brands. The fear now is that it may be a sign of things to come." OK!

has contacted Channel 4 for a comment. It comes just two years after its well-known chief instructor, Ant Middleton was reportedly dismissed for what was described as his "personal conduct." He was later replaced by actor and former US Marine, Rudy Reyes.
