Accies Women boss Gary Doctor says he’s tired of the Groundhog day routine and insists wins have to come soon for his side.Accies lost 3-0 to Celtic in Airdrie on Sunday as they failed to make up ground on those above them in SWPL1.Charlie Wellings’ strike and a Chloe Craig double were enough to seal a comfortable Hoops win. After the result, Doctor’s side sit bottom and four points off this weekend’s opponents, ninth-placed Partick Thistle.Doctor says the performances from his side haven’t been bad this season but ultimately results are going to be needed if they are to remain in SWPL 1.They’ve won one of their 14 games this season, losing 11, and Doctor said: “It feels like groundhog day.

I feel like a broken record and I do recognise that.“Celtic is a different game as you are playing one of the top teams. We lost an early goal which was dreadful and at that point you are needing to try and settle into the game.“We weathered a bit of a storm in the first 20 minutes, restricted them for the rest of the half, and we weren’t being peppered in the second half.“There were a lot of things there that at some point will come together.

Hopefully that is sooner rather than later.“We haven’t picked up enough points though and the players are aware of that. We are aware of that as coaches.”Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
