Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Robbie Brady has emerged as a summer target for Celtic. The 29-year-old Burnley star is yet to agree a new deal at Turf Moor and, if further talks fail, then he will become a free agent in the summer.

That has opened the door for Hoops boss Neil Lennon, who wants to strengthen his squad on the back of a disappointing campaign and sees the player as a key part of his future plans.

Brady started his career at Manchester United but failed to make the breakthrough at Old Trafford. He joined Hull in 2013 after two loans spells and, two years after making that switch permanent, he left for Norwich.

The Republic of Ireland international then moved to Burnley in 2017 and has been a key figure in the success they have achieved under Sean Dyche.
