Celine Dion returning to Las Vegas for new residency at Resorts World: report

News of Dion’s potential return to the Vegas stage comes amid her ongoing battle with stiff person syndrome. Stiff person syndrome is described by RareDiseases.org as a “rare acquired neurological disorder characterized by progressive muscle stiffness (rigidity) and repeated episodes of painful muscle spasms.”Dion shared her diagnosis with the public in December of 2022.

The disease forced her to cancel her “Courage World Tour” and several other shows. The “My Heart Will Go On” singer shared some of the harrowing details of her health battle with fans in her 2024 documentary, “I Am: Celine Dion,” including footage of her having seizures.Despite her medical struggles, Dion has been adamant that she wants to return to performing live.

Insiders claimed the reported new residency is entirely her idea. “This is all her,” a source told TMZ. “No one is pushing her to do it.
