The diamond crown said to be worn by Queen Consort Camilla at next year’s Coronation has sparked a row with India’s governing party over its “painful history”. Camilla, 75, is set to wear the late Queen Mother’s jewel-encrusted crown, which features the famous 105-carat Koh-i-Noor diamond, at King Charles III’s Coronation in May.The controversial diamond is one of the largest-cut in the world and was included as part of the Crown Jewels after it was offered to Queen Victoria by the last Sikh emperor of India, aged 10 at the time.There have been disputes over the gift, with India and several other countries claiming that the diamond should be returned.

A Georgia man is behind bars on multiple charges after he allegedly tried to kill twin infants. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, 22-year-old Robert Terrell Dubose Jr., of Rome, is accused of breaking the neck of a 3-month-old girl and trying to smother her twin sister while they were both crying during an Oct. 3 incident.

Sen.Tom Cotton, R-Ark., is raising questions about whether the Air Force broke the law by releasing personnel records for a GOP congressional candidate, which outed her as a survivor of sexual assault. Two police officers were fatally shot and another was seriously wounded in an officer-involved shooting in Bristol late Wednesday night, Connecticut State Police announced. Police have yet to release details of the incident, and it is unclear to which department the officers belonged. Local media say the shooting occurred in a residential area late Wednesday night.

Over the past four weeks 19 famous faces have done their best to try and impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace as part of the 17th series of the BBC show.
