Joe Wicks have praised Lewis Capaldi for cancelling upcoming shows to protect his mental and physical health. The 26-year-old Someone You Loved hitmaker announced how he would have to cancel all work commitments until Glastonbury on June 24 in a heartfelt post on social media.

The Scottish singer explained how the last few months have been ‘full on both mentally and physically’ and he’s ‘struggling to get to grips with it all’ having had a busy start to the year with the lead-up to the release of his new album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent.

Explaining how he hasn’t been home properly ‘since Christmas’, the Before You Go singer confessed he needed to take three weeks to rest, recover, and ‘be Lewis from Glasgow for a bit’.

He added that he was ‘extremely sorry’ to fans and he’s ‘getting all the help and support’ he needs. The star got candid about his battle with anxiety in his new documentary, How I’m Feeling Now, and his recent album also focuses much more on mental health.
