The 4 miles and 2½ furlongs chase is the highlight of the jump racing calendar with recent Cheltenham Festival winner Corach Rambler (6/1) the bookmakers' favourite ahead of last year’s winner Noble Yeats (8/1).
But there is plenty more high-class racing on offer over the three-day event with new fans’ favourite and star of Cheltenham, Constitution Hill, going in the Grade One Aintree Hurdle on day one.
The Nicky Henderson star won the Champion Hurdle by nine lengths last month and is rated at 1/4 to win the race which takes place on Thursday.
