Cedric Itten has joined Bundesliga side Greuther Furth for the season. Itten joined the Ibrox side from St Gallen in January last year but has found minutes hard to come by.

He's started just once this season, in the Champions League qualifying first leg against Malmo. The arrival of Fashion Sakala has pushed him further down Steven Gerrard 's pecking order and he now heads to Germany to get some first-team football.

Itten has made 36 appearances for Rangers, many of them as a substitute, scoring six times. His move comes as defender Nikola Katic is also set to complete a loan switch.

The Croatian was crocked for the whole of last season as he was forced to watch from the sidelines as Rangers made history with their title win.
