Cops have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to after a 49-year-old was seriously assaulted in a Scots town.

The incident happened around 11.50pm on Saturday, 9 March, outside a premises on Calder Street, near Rosevale Crescent, in Bellshill.

A 49-year-old man sustained a serious injury after he was assaulted by four men. A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection and was due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on 2nd April.

A probe is underway to establish the full circumstances and police have urged the men in the images, or anyone who may know them, to get in touch.
