One of CBS’s West Coast subsidiaries has paused its postings and interactions on Twitter, in light of ongoing uncertainty over the future of the social media platform.

Taking to Twitter, naturally, to announce the news, KPIX-TV said it would be pausing its activity while it continues to monitor the platform.In light of the uncertainty around Twitter and out of an abundance of caution, CBS News Bay Area is pausing its activity on the social media site as we continue to monitor the platform.

KPIX-TV is a television station licensed to San Francisco, which broadcasts CBS programming to the Bay Area. It is owned and operated by the network’s CBS News and Stations division alongside CW affiliate KBCW, also licensed to San Francisco.

This move follows yet another week of uncertainty at Twitter, following new chief Elon Musk’s announcement on Friday that the company offices would be locked over the weekend.
