Louis Walsh, the former manager of Boyzone, made a surprising revelation on Celebrity Big Brother on Wednesday, 20 March. The 71 year old music mogul managed the chart-topping boy band from 1993 to 2000, turning Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch and the late Stephen Gately into overnight sensations.

However, Louis left his housemates in shock when he revealed that Hollywood star Colin Farrell had once auditioned for the band, but didn't make the cut.

While chatting in the kitchen with Fern Britton and Colson Smith, Louis shared: "I know him very well as he auditioned for Boyzone and he told me he wanted to be an actor, I knew him from Dublin. "I said 'you can't sing, I can't give you the gig' because I knew him very well.

And he said to me 'oh I wanna be an actor' and I said 'you're wasting your f***ing time.'" He added: "He went and he worked, no no, he worked it".
